Sony Computer Entertainment has posted an update for the worldwide factory
shipments of the PS2 console. Sony reported that they had officially reached
shipments of 40 million units worldwide, marking yet another milestone for
the PS2. Regional statistics show that as of September 17, 12.06 million
units were shipped to Europe, 17.01 million units were shipped to North
America and 10.97 million units were shipped to Japan.
