How to tell what version PlayStation 2 you
have Version 3 Model SCPH-30003 10 Screws on base of the PS2. As per diagram on the below
Version 4 Model SCPH-30003 8 Screws on base of the PS2 + Electrical Hazard Warning on the base of the console. Version 5 & Version 6 Model SCPH-30003R 8 Screws on base of the PS2 + Electrical Hazard Warning on the base of the console + letter 'R' after the model number. The version V6 console is really a version 5 with the motherboard connector for the front panel button connecting ribbon reversed.
